Four Seasons Papagayo

Four Seasons Papagayo

Folks in Costa Rica have a saying, “Pura Vida,” or Pure Life.

Spend a few days (or better yet a week) at the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo and you’ll understand just how pure life is in this eco-friendly resort where luxurious indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly merge together to form one incredible experience.

With 182 fully-appointed beachside guest rooms, suites, and private residences; a full-service spa featuring massages, body treatments, and personal fitness training; four unique restaurants that proudly incorporate locally-sourced ingredients; two beaches and four swimming pools; eco-adventures in every direction, and 18 holes of Arnold Palmer-designed golf right outside your door, it’s easy to feel like you’ve stumbled upon your own little paradise.

Feels Like Home

Purposely designed to feel like home, the resort’s 182 accommodation options feature everything you could need including Down duvets and pillows, Wi-Fi, refrigerated private bars, plasma TV’s, CD players, DVD players, and Bose wireless bluetooth speakers.

Each of the resort’s restaurants features cuisine heavily reliant upon using local, organic ingredients. Bahia (Latin American cuisine), Pesce (Italian seafood), Caracol (American steakhouse), and Añejo (crudos and tapas) all offer varied and delicious menu options sure to appeal to everyone in your group.

An experience definitely not to be missed is La Reserva where guests can experience the resort’s vast selection of premium rums plus have the opportunity to create their very own blend.

Bring Your Camera!

The 18-hole, par-72 championship Arnold Palmer golf course is ranked as among the best courses you can play outside the U.S. and it’s no surprise why. Incredible views of the land and water from dramatic plateaus greet players on every hole (bring your camera!). The course’s signature hole, the par-4, 446-yard sixth named El Bajo, features a tee shot that drops down nearly 200 feet to a generous dogleg left fairway. The approach shot is into a bunkerless green that is set on a cliff with the ocean sitting behind it.

In addition to 9-hole and 18-hole on course playing lessons, the resort offers several golf packages that vary based upon the length of your stay, including: the Unlimited Golf Package (from $750 includes all the golf you can play during your stay up to a maximum of six nights); the Grip it and Rip it (from $540, ideal for those who enjoy golf but also want to try a variety of activities, includes three rounds of golf during your stay); and the Country Club Golf (from $925, created for golf enthusiast, play and use of the driving range for five days).
