A TOUR COURSE THAT’S CAN’T MISS
Harbour Town Golf Links: Home to the PGA Tour’s popular RBC Heritage for years, the par-71, 7,100-yard course designed by Pete Dye is considered a must play for any trip to the southeast. Harbour Town makes players think their way around the course rather than try to overpower it. With a collection of challenging par threes and the always tricky par-4 18th hole with its signature lighthouse, a round here is both challenging and rewarding.
Heron Point: This par-72, 7,000-yard Pete Dye track presents challenges but with seven sets of tees on each hole, players can find the right length for their game. Marked by risk-reward temptations, penalizing bunkers, rolling fairways, mounds and swales, Heron Point’s real challenge presents itself in approach shots to the course’s smaller, undulating greens with collection areas ready to snatch inaccurate shots.
Atlantic Dunes: Completely reconstructed by Davis Love III in 2016, the very playable par-72, 7,000-yard Atlantic Dunes features some incredible views, indigenous plants, water hazards, and sand dunes that blend seamlessly into the design.
