The Highland Course at Primland Resort

The Highland Course at Primland Resort

This is the place vacations dreams are made of.

Sprawling out over more than 12,000 acres of southwestern Virginia, the Primland Resort offers a little bit of everything – and then some.

With luxury accommodation options that range from deluxe lodge guest rooms to cottages to homes to tree houses (yup, tree houses), an Audubon-certified 18-hole championship golf course, a full-service spa and fitness center, spectacular dining, and more outdoor fun than you can imagine, the question isn’t why should you visit Primland, it’s why shouldn’t you?

Incredible Tree Houses

Accommodations feature top of the line amenities including flat-screen TV’s, plush robes and slippers, complimentary WiFi, automated shades, lighting dimmer systems, BVLGARI bath products, refrigerators, wet bars, coffeemakers, fireplaces, balconies, private decks, kitchenettes, and dining rooms. For a truly amazing experience, book one of the three tree houses which are literally built around the solid branches of the tree tops. Pretty incredible.

Proudly serving creative dishes using locally-sourced ingredients, the formal dining Elements restaurant is a must serving things like softshell crab, elk, lamb, pheasant, veal, speckled trout, and salt water prawns. Enjoy spirit tastings of whiskey, bourbon, scotch, and moonshine with some great pub fare at the 19th Pub or check out the ever-changing buffet at Stables Saloon.

With activities like horseback riding, hunting, hiking, archery, fly fishing, yoga, disc golf, and sport shooting right outside your door, you won’t have any trouble finding things to do off the golf course.

Mountains and Valleys

You almost forgot about the golf, didn’t you?

The par-72, 7,053-yard Donald Steel-designed Highland Course at Primland offers both challenging golf and incredible scenery. The course weaves through the mountain terrain around Primland with holes playing over ridges and down through valleys. With deep woods, Scottish-style bunkers, large undulating greens, and steep cliffs, course management and decision-making are at a premium here.

Primland offers a bunch of great stay and play deals including the Highland Golf Package which features overnight accommodations, daily breakfast at Elements, and a round of golf with cart on the Highland Course.
