BIG SKY MEANS BIG SHOTS
You’ll never forget you’re in Big Sky country when golfing at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin, where you might hit your longest drives ever in the rarefied air at 7,500 feet. With a surrounding backdrop of Montana’s Madison Range, every hole on the beautifully manicured Jack Nicklaus course has a different mountain view, especially brilliant in the fall months. PGA professional Greg Wagner offers members clinics and private instruction. The 8,000-yard layout, new clubhouse, and four-hole short course are the latest amenities at the private community, which has access to skiing at Big Sky Resort.
The par-72 Reserve course stretches out to 8,000 yards over 1,200 acres from the tips. But don’t let that scare you off. Sitting at 7,500 feet above sea level, the ball flies much longer – you might even be able to brag about your longest drive later over a beer. With the incredible Madison Range looming, the course offers photo ops at every turn. Dramatic elevation changes, perfectly manicured fairways and greens, plus several sets of tee boxes make this course a treat for any golfer regardless of skill level. See if you can conquer the mammoth 777-yard, par-5 17th hole where Mother Nature and gravity will offer you a little help.
Enjoy your visit to Big Sky country and don’t worry, we won’t think any less of you if you decide to stay a few extra days…
