New York’s Pound Ridge Golf Club Gearing Up For This Season

While most of the East Coast is still covered in mountains of snow, the fine folks at New York’s Pound Ridge Golf Club are inviting golf travelers to book their next trip at their Waterfront Luxury Hotel.

As the only Pete Dye-designed course within 40 miles of Manhattan, Pound Ridge Golf Club has been a favorite vacation stop for golfers from around the world. In celebration – and anticipation – of the upcoming 2014 golf season, Pound Ridge and the luxurious Delamar Greenwich Harbor resort are re-releasing their popular stay-and-play package.

Rates start at $515 (single occupancy) and $710 (double occupancy) and include the following:

– Golf shoe and club rental

– A $20 food and beverage voucher for the clubhouse

– 10% off all golf shop merchandise at Pound Ridge Golf Club

– Continental breakfast served in the Delamar lobby

– A bottle of champagne/wine delivered to the room

– 10% off a Sports Massage at the Spa at Delamar

Pound Ridge Golf Club plays to a par-72, has five sets of tees and measures 7,165 yards from the tips. It boasts a practice range, short game area and putting green. The property is home to many of the highest points in Westchester County, with a number of tee boxes offering expansive vistas of the surrounding countryside. Notable holes include the par-5, 13th– home to “Pete’s Rock,” a giant boulder that rests in the middle of the fairway – and the par-3 15th – dubbed “Headstone” –flanked on the right by a large rock outcropping that protrudes into the elongated, 9,000-square-foot green.

If you and your buddies are looking for a new golf trip destination this spring, keep Pound Ridge Golf Club in mind.
