Bubba Watson Wants You to ‘Feel the Glove’

Bubba Watson makes plenty of money – more than $2 million in just five events this season to go with sponsor deals from the likes of PING, Oakley and Titleist – and loves to give a lot of it away. He’s passionate about helping the less fortunate.

As such, he recently agreed to a unique partnership with PING, in which Watson will wear the company’s new premium Sensor Cool gloves and PING will make an annual donation to the Bubba Watson Foundation. The amount donated will be based on the number of gloves sold.

To help spread the word, Watson visited the Brookside Golf Club in Pasadena, Calif., to give away some gloves and T-shirts, sign some autographs, shake some hands and take some pictures. As always, good times are had when Bubba and a camera get together:

“I’m excited to partner with PING by wearing the new Sensor Sport glove and at the same time help raise funds for my foundation,” Watson said in a statement. “My wife Angie and I want to use golf to assist those less fortunate. PING also believes in using the game to give back, so it’s a great opportunity for us to combine our efforts and support charities around the world. The more gloves we sell, the more people we’ll help. I hope golfers get behind this program. They’ll get a high-performance glove and contribute to great causes.”

The gloves are now available to the public and come in three new styles – Sensor Sport, Sensor Tour, and Sensor Tech. They all feature PING Sensor Cool, a proprietary technology that wicks moisture away to keep the golfer cooler, drier and more comfortable.

The Sensor Sport and Sensor Tour gloves offer a special combination of breathable Sensor Cool technology and Solite cabretta leather. The Sensor Tech model features a high-quality synthetic leather to offer extreme durability in all weather conditions, more Lycra, and a reinforced palm for a secure grip.
