Review: Gary Player’s ‘A Game for Life’ DVD Series

Last year, golfing legend Gary Player teamed up with Revolution Golf to produce a truly unique instructional DVD series entitled A Game for Life. As the name suggests, this series stretches far beyond the tee-to-green boundaries usually covered in other series.

If you know anything about Mr. Player, it’s that he has the gift of gab unlike most pro golfers from his generation. He is incredibly well-spoken, able to clearly explain complex golf swing theories and exhibits just enough “Average Joe” flair of which you and I can relate. Needless to say, I had high expectations going in to viewing the DVDs.

In true Gary Player-form, the Black Knight replied to my tweet.

So how was the series?

Comprised of three DVDs, A Game for Life focuses on bunker play, scoring, and life as a whole. That’s what makes this series so unique: Gary Player isn’t only going to teach you how to score better and get out of trouble on the course, he’s also going to help you when you’re off the course.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil the series by revealing any content here. What I will say, however, is that the quality of instruction and production of this series is top-notch. Mr. Player has a knack for getting straight to the point during the lessons, which makes for a wonderful viewing and learning experience.

Here is a video preview of what you can expect from Gary Player’s A Game for Life.
