The congenial Aussie has quietly played some terrific golf leading into Erin Hills, and given his propensity to struggle on the greens, this could be a good week to rely on ballstriking. Like Sergio Garcia, Scott’s putter has been the anchor (pun intended) that has held him down over the years, but given the simple complexes at Erin, he could be in for a special week.
Comes into the Open with solid form and has finished in the top-20 in his last three U.S. Opens, including a pair of top-10s.
