Bunkers
There’s a lot more to bunkers that meet the eye. According to the PGA Tour course standards, the uniform settled depth should be four to five inches throughout the bunker floor and be free of debris. If steep faces are part of the design, these areas should have no more than two inches of sand to prevent buried lies. Some of the best courses in the world actually import sand in to fill the traps. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for your public track!
