6. The TOUR Championship
Four of the game’s best and most notable golfers all had a chance to win the tournament and the FedEx Cup coming in. Jason Day, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy all had their eye on the prize. Johnson appeared to be the lock heading into Sunday, but Rory had other plans. He shot back-to-back six-under-par on moving day and again on Sunday, including an incredible hole-out eagle on the 16th. This forced a playoff with Ryan Moore and Kevin Chappell. Stakes were as high as they could be, as Rory had to win the Championship in order to also win the coveted $10 million FedEx Cup. After four playoff holes, McIlroy carded the only birdie and fist-pumped his way to both titles (and $11.53 million).
