Sandwiched between Block Island Sound, and Long Island Sound, this 18-hole course is perfect for those who want a view of the water, without having to worry about their ball ending up there. Opened in 1926, only a few months after the death of its architect, Seth Raynor, the course features not just beautiful views, but speedy fairways, and troublesome bunkers. While you can only get there from Connecticut, it remains one of the great courses in New York.
