3. Hapuna Golf Course – Kamuela, Big Island
Hapuna Golf Course was designed in 1992 by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay and plays to a par-72 measuring up to 6,875 yards. The course stretches along the beautiful Kohala coastline before rising to over 700 feet above sea level creating a visually stunning track that utilizes the natural contours of the landscape. The snow-topped Mauna Kea volcano serves as a spectacular backdrop and provides seemingly endless views of the Pacific. The USGA also rated this as one of the most environmentally sensitive courses anywhere in the U.S. See it here.
