Gary Nicklaus Jr.
The Masters’ Par 3 contest saw more than one ace in 2018, including on with heartwarming display on the final hole. Taking the shot for his legendary grandfather, 15-year-old Gary Nicklaus Jr. hit a beautiful tee shot on the 9th hole that rolled almost the whole length of the green and landed in the bottom of the cup.
The shot was a special moment for not just Gary, who hit his first ever hole in one, but for Jack as well, who tweeted “With all due respect to @themasters, allow me to put my 6 Green Jackets in the closet for a moment and say that I don’t know if I have had a more special day on a golf course. To have your grandson make his first hole-in-one on this stage…. WOW!”
