A Better Way To Practice Your Putting

To be a great putter you have to control the speed of how hard you hit the putt. One of the ways that we can practice our putting and get a little bit more feedback is to eliminate the hole. If I put some ball markers down about 17 inches past the cup, I’m going to try to roll the ball over these little ball markers and I’m going to pick a distance past the cup that I could measure.

What I would try to do is I would try to roll the ball over those ball marks and stop it right at the tee and what that would do is help me practice rolling the ball over an imaginary cup at the proper speed so when I go back to the hole, you could imagine putting through the cup or at least you’re going to control the speed better.
