If you struggle with the back-and-through body motion that’s essential to making a proper turn, there’s a band training exercise that can help you hone the skill.

With a band tied to a golf cart, stand about five feet away and pull across your body with your lead arm, bringing your shoulder under your head as if taking the club back. Keep your head still and step into the turn, intensifying the back-and-through sensation. When you can feel the burn in your core, you know the exercise is working.
