Many golfers wonder why they have a clubface at impact that is too open or too shut. Check your position at the top of your backswing and you’re likely to see a wrist that is too bowed, which will result in a clubface that is very open or very shut when it gets back to the ball.
Make sure when you grip the club, the back of your lead wrists matches the face of the club. A strong grip will result in a flat swing with a closed face and a weak grip will result in a steep swing with an open face. A neutral grip ensures an on-plane swing and a square clubface at impact.
