Fairway woods can sometimes be difficult because they’re longer and they have a fairly straight face. That longer club makes you swing further from it, which makes the swing more merry-go-round and sweepy.
That being said, try to stand a little closer to the ball and choke down on the club. Feel like the swing is a little longer and try to hit more of a cut shot because that gives you more angle to get the club down underneath the ball.
