When you’re faced with a severely downhill lie with the green sloping away from you and trouble behind the putting surface, we need to hit a soft shot to land it on the green and keep it from rolling over from a downhill lie.
The setup changes a little bit in this situation. You need to be able to swing down the slope and allow the loft of the club to do the work for you.
