You shank the ball a lot of times because the athlete in you causes it to happen.  We usually are in a bad “Steep”  position as we transition with the club that we are forced to make compensations in our spine angle that causes our hips to move toward the ball, resulting in a shank.  If the shank is a shot that shows up for you, watch this video and take a page out of Matt Wolff’s cool swing.
