The clubface ball flight misses we have are toe hits and heel hits. Usually, the toe hit comes out of a plus, or steep, impact, and a heel hit is the result of a shallow, or minus, impact.
When you hit an iron on the heel or toe, the ball flight isn’t as largely impacted as it would be with a hybrid, fairway wood or driver. As a right-handed golfer, a toe hit will generally move to the left and a heel strike will typically move to the right.
