Here is the most simple way to hit a bunker shot to ensure you get the ball out of the bunker every time. Keep a square stance with the ball in the front third of your stance. Keep a lot of weight in the left leg and keep it there through the whole swing. I like to make sure to keep the clubface square.
When swinging, hinge the club, swing the club down through the sand, entering the sand about two inches behind the ball, and make a nice, shallow, follow through.
If you do this, the golf club will leave the sand in a low fashion that’ll help get the ball up in the air and have it land soft on the green.
