One of the most confusing parts of short game is sequencing. What we’ve found using modern technology is basically that the chest, hips, and arms work together on the most basic shots.

So what we’re going to do, is we’re going to try to imagine here that our arms are connected to our sides and the reason that the club comes back and through is because I am letting everything upper and lower work together. To do this, some people imagine the elbows pointing at the hips and the hips and the elbows stay together. The simplest way to do it, in the beginning, is to take a towel and you’re going to put that underneath your arms up against your body. What you’re going to do first is take some practice swings and you’re going to feel the connection here that everything is working together. When you go to set up to the ball, use everything to bring the club back and through.
