One of the easiest ways to gain distance and hit the ball farther is to make center-face contact. If we can make it to where we can approach the ball the same way and hit it in the sweetspot, that’s the quickest way to gain distance.
Forget the training aids that are out there for a second and focus on the skill of making center-face contact. Teeing up a pair of tees, put the ball on the tee farther away from you. Before you hit the ball, use your other tee to attempt to clip the top of the tee that is closest to you to hone in the skill of making great contact, and that will help you to find the center of the face when you’re hitting the ball.
