Some of the best advice I was given was by one of the game’s best course strategists and PGA Tour winner David Edwards. He shared with me the idea of trading two hard shots for two easy shots. Going for it is fun but it is a hard shot and if you do not pull it off you will have another hard shot. A lay up or a smart shot might not be as fun but your score more times than not will thank you. A Lay up and a wedge shot almost guarantees you will have a good score and removes the possibility of a really bad score.
