Too many amateurs have incorrect ball position when it comes to hitting long irons. Unlike our short irons or our driver or 3-wood, we want our ball position one ball forward of center.

From there, we want to ensure our pelvis stays back, which helps us to hold a consistent spine angle. Too many times with long irons, we stand up too tall as a result of the length of the club. Finally, we want to make sure we complete our backswing, set your hands and stay in that posture through impact.
