My students always want to know how they can create more speed and power in their swing, and an easy way to do this is to use a training aid or a club and complete a protocol a few times per week.
Beginning by swinging with one hand, you’ll create some stability and strength. You can then switch to the other side once you start to feel some burning in your trail arm, repeating the same drill with your lead arm. Finally, once you’ve warmed up both sides, grab the club with both hands and do it again.
This is a great way to get your heart rate elevated while creating speed and stability in your swing.
