If you want to break the habit of coming over the top and get the feeling of starting the ball out to the right with a draw, this is a great drill. When you take your setup, move your toes right of your target so that the club comes more on the inside and around your body. On the downswing, you’ll see that your back and hips stay closed, which automatically gives you the feeling of swinging from the inside.
Start practicing by doing swings above the ground because it’s an easy way to feel the club shallowing. From there, you’ll feel your body begin closed to the target and then open up through the impact zone.
