Are you hitting down on the golf ball too much with the driver? By placing a headcover 18 inches in front of the ball, it’s going to change your angle of attack and how you deliver the golf club into the ball. If we’re heading down it too much, we would strike the headcover, which is 18 inches ahead of the ball. Just by seeing that out of the corner of your eye is going to create enough of a deterrent to allow you to create the right amount of tilt, and then hit up on the ball and change your launch conditions.
