If you’re having trouble with your mini wedge shots — from 30 to 50 yards — take your normal grip, then take your index finger on your trail hand and put it down the shaft.

The index finger will act as your barometer for where your shaft is pointing throughout the swing. Poor chippers are pointing the finger up to the target or the sky too early, while the good chippers are keeping that finger pointed down to the ground longer.
