One of the coolest shots you can hit in golf is one of these long, towering, sweeping long irons.
This is a great little drill I have called “halfway back; all the way through” that will give you a fuller finish.
The real killer for some of these longer irons sometimes is the hard swing down and the short finish.
It’s very simple. All I want you to do is swing the club half the way back and all the way through holding that finish until the ball lands.
That’s going to give you an idea of the speed and the tempo you need all the way to the finish. And that is what hits a really good mid-to-long iron.
