When you’re on the first tee and you’re feeling nervous, take a few deep breaths and focus on what type of shots you want to play.
Once I visualize the draw, I’ll now make a practice swing so you can see I take it above the ground, swing through, finish into my left side.
Now when I step back, I really feel myself relax. Now, I walk into the ball. Really feel good. Look at my target, go.
So you can see right there, I go through a routine each and every time that allows me to feel relaxed, in focus, and I can feel that my body’s energized to go. I feel athletic.
The more athletic your body feels, the better your mind will feel and the more relaxed you’ll be each and every time. So work on your new routine, and your nerves will be out the window.
