Things get lost and refound inside golf bags nearly on a daily basis, but what border patrol agents found in several abandoned golf bags near a Brownsville, Texas golf course was not misplaced by accident.
U.S. Border Patrol agents saw several people swimming across the Rio Grande River back to Mexico. As a result, the agents canvassed the area and came across several abandoned golf bags at a nearby course. When they investigated further, they found that these were no ordinary golf bags.

Although they contained a few golf clubs, the bags were largely loaded down with marijuana. Agents weighed the marijuana at 50 pounds, which has an estimated value of $40,000, according to a release from the U.S. Customs an Border Patrol.
