If you think you’re never going to make a hole-in-one in your life, this story should give you hope. Last week, a 99-year-old man reportedly made his first ever ace at the club that he’s been a member of for over half a century.
According to Bay Area Fox affiliate KTVU, C.D. Madsen has belonged to Marin Country Club in Novato, California for 57 years and was having one of the better rounds of his life considering his age. What he didn’t know was that it was going to get even better. He stepped up to the 108-yard, par-3 16th and holed out a six-iron for that elusive one that he will never forget. In fact, he went on to shoot an 85, bettering his age by 14 shots!
Congratulations to 99 year old C.D. Madsen on his first hole-in-one today on #16 using a 6-iron from 108 yards. Mr. Madsen also shot an 85!

That’s the beautiful thing about the game of golf. The ball doesn’t care how old you are.
