Jay Leno’s iteration of The Tonight Show is no longer on the air, but this bad thief would have fit in perfectly to his Stupid Criminals segment. “Trolling” the neighborhood, as the victim Jim Acuff put it, this oblivious criminal hopped out of his car, unstrapped two sets of clubs and threw them in his trunk, all in plain view of security cameras.
The scouting of this brazen crime was severely lacking. Acuff’s security cameras got a good look at the thief in question, his car and license plate. The guy was caught within 10 days of the theft and the clubs are back in the hands of their rightful owner.
