An employee at Topgolf in Alpharetta, Georgia had an interesting morning shift on Thursday. Around 7 a.m., the employee alerted police that a car had entered the driving range entertainment facility via a maintenance entrance and had crashed into one of the targets.
Police responded and found a small SUV teetering on the edge of the large green target. They were able to rescue and arrest the driver of the car, who had stolen the vehicle from nearby Cobb County.
“The vehicle went onto the turn and continued on and almost went into one of the target holes,” Officer Howard Miller told WSB TV. “Thankfully, one of the wires on the netting between the target got underneath the vehicle and saved the car from taking a 6-foot drop.
“It definitely could have been bad for the driver.”
