Have you ever been stuck in a slow golf outing far away from the clubhouse, with no beverage cart in sight and jonesing for an ice cold beer, water, sports drink or craving some energy brought by a bag of peanuts, a hot dog or a burger? Of course you have; every golfer has.
Now, that conundrum could be quickly becoming a thing of the past thanks to Flytrex and EASE Drones. The two companies are partnering to create an on-demand, on-course drone delivery service for golfers.
Golfers would simply order from the clubhouse menu from their smartphone and their beverages and food would be delivered to them on the course via drone.
There is a $3 delivery fee, which would double as your tip for the beverage cart. The first test was done at King’s Walk Golf Course in North Dakota. Golfers are able to order and receive deliveries on the course’s back nine to start, but the company is hoping to expand to more courses both around the United States and internationally.
