Athletes crossing over from their sports to golf is nothing new. The likes of baseball Hall of Famer John Smoltz, basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice are all well-known for having been bitten by the golf bug. And in recent years, sport crossovers such as Frisbee Golf, FootGolf and most recently, Rugby Golf have taken hold in different parts of the world.
The English Cricket team took a little different approach to their crossover, however. The team substituted their normal cricket ball for its dimpled brother. And instead of simply tossing it up to themselves, they had it pitched — or hurled — at them.
