Going to Be a Long Second Shot

Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.

A big pace of play initiative in golf is playing from the correct tees that suit your skill level. The golfer in the video above is in some trouble, because if he continues to hit the ball directly sideways, there isn’t a teeing ground close enough to the green that will make the course playable for him.

Of course, we kid.

There is nothing more embarrassing than whiffing/topping/shanking a shot in front of your golf buddies for a few reasons; first is the obvious pain caused by the poor shot; but secondly, there typically isn’t a harsher group of people in your circle of friends than your golf buddies. Ironically, they should know better than most the horrors this game can inflict on a man as players themselves, but it’s almost impossible to let a golden opportunity like that go by without a few good jabs.
