Golf Channel’s deal to acquire the Twitter account Total Golf Move has been called off, both sides have confirmed to Back9Network.
“(The) deal is off,” TGM founder Lance Turpin said in an email.
“Golf Channel regularly speaks to organizations across the golf industry on ways to further grow the game. This potential partnership was being evaluated and didn’t come to fruition,” a Golf Channel spokesperson said.
The decision to cancel the arrangement came sometime after golf.swingbyswing.com posted about the reported acquisition, which in turn caused many on social media, most notably Twitter, to question the reasons for the agreement.
