Probably Should Have Taken a Lesson First

Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.

Golf is a game meant to be enjoyed by all, so usually when someone new picks up a club, it’s a win for the game as a whole. However, in the above instance, maybe this guy should have gotten some instruction first.

While the shirtless man’s friends seemed to have suggestions on his grip, the fact that they were recording his swing in the first place leads one to believe they were prepared for it to be a disaster. Boy, did the shirtless man have a surprise for them.

After a few Jason Dufner-esque waggles, the protagonist rips the club back and slams it towards the earth with impressive power. That power, however, was too much for that graphite shaft to manage and the new golfer was left with his first broken club on his first swing.

It can only get better from there.
