Being right-handed has its advantages in life. You never have to write over the spiral side of a notebook, most desks are designed to accomodate you and golf clubs are much easier to find. However, when an intrepid course designer puts water down the left side of a hole, if you get too close to the hazard, bad things can happen as Mike Ferik found out on Memorial Day.
Luckily for us, Tom Solomonson is a good friend and a better judge of imminent catastrophe. Playing at Alta Vista Country Club in Placentia, Calif., Tom captured his friend’s decision to attempt a hero shot on camera.
Maybe next time Mike will just flip the wedge over and try the shot left-handed.
