Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.
If the last few years of crazy weather and natural disasters have taught us anything, it should be that we never underestimate Mother Nature. It’s doubtful that this intrepid golfer was going for anything more than a laugh when he hauled a back, an umbrella and a rickshaw into an overflowing creek with the source only a few yards upstream, but things got real in a hurry.
The power of the stream had overflown the banks of the creek, creating the illusion that it would only be a few inches deep. Once the golfer got to the middle of the gushing water, he found the dug-out creekbed a few feet deeper than expected. His friends, videoing for the Internet presumably, were thrust into a rescue mission that was successful a few yards downstream, albeit without the umbrella or rickshaw.
