Winter Golf Trick Shot Goes Wrong

Golf is a social sport, and we think it’s fun to share golf experiences; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Partnering with our friends at gottaGolf (The Ball Tracer & Social Golf App), SxS is proud to bring you “Golf Fails brought to you by gottaGolf,” a weekly reminder that golf is… really hard.

Sneaking out to play some golf during the winter months always seems like a good idea until you actually do it. Pretty quickly you realize that the “not too bad” weather is actually much colder once you spend an extended period of time out in it.

The first indication you should get is that it’s winter and not a time to be spending hours on end outdoors. If that wasn’t enough, the frozen lakes and ponds on the course should be another warning sign. Lastly, if bunkers are still holding water from a storm that has since frozen, you’re barking up the wrong tree.

It’s hard to fault the golfer above, however. He appears to simply be trying to make lemonade out of frozen lemons. He’s lucky the only thing hurt after trying that stunt is his hip and his ego.
