So-called relationship experts say that the keys to a happy and healthy marriage are communication and compromise, but the reality of the situation is that it becomes more about submissiveness.
You need to pick your battles, tend to your losses and live to fight another day, especially when it comes to a man and his golf equipment.
In sports, there are bad contracts, and then there’s the one Denver Broncos tight end Jeff Heuerman signed last year forbidding him from purchasing a driver over the next five years.

Cut from the same cloth was the agreement Instagram user and serial golf equipment purchaser Sean Farrell signed last month.
“Forgot to post this monumental event that happened last month,” he wrote. “Unfortunately no, this isn’t a joke. 9 sets of clubs, 16 putters, 8 different wedge sets, and 5 drivers in the past 3 years has led to this moment ?? My wife has finally had enough so I’m officially stuck with what I got for the next two seasons. The real question now is can I stick to it??”
While Farrell has agreed to refrain from purchasing equipment through next golf season, things could be worse. As he posted a few days later, he’s got a pretty solid setup for the next two years.
