Denmark’s Lucas Bjerregaard’s exploded on the international golf scene in a big way this past week at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play Championship, shocking the golf world by emerging from the early-week group stage and making a run towards the title.
The 27-year-old Dane beat Justin Thomas and Matt Wallace and halved his match with Keegan Bradley to get into the knockout stage where he took down both Henrik Stenson and Tiger Woods on an epic Saturday.
In Austin alongside Bjerregaard was the woman he’s engaged to marry, Henriette Friis. The high school sweethearts live in Monaco, have a baby girl, Josephine, and plan to be wed in December.
