Rory McIlroy became on the second professional golfer to ever win the FedEx Cup twice thanks to his victory at the Tour Championship last week. It was McIlroy’s third win of the season.
He won his second PGA Tour event of the 2018-19 season at The RBC Canadian Open. The victory was McIlroy’s sixth national Open title. He won in style as well with a record-setting winning total (22-under par, 258) and a seven-stroke margin.
McIlroy celebrated the victory with his wife of two years, Erica Stoll, as the pair were in town for the event as well as the NBA Finals in nearby Toronto.

In 2017, McIlroy married Stoll, a New York native, at Ireland’s Ashford Castle in a lavish ceremony that included over 200 guests on the 350-acre estate. Amongst the celebrities in attendance were professional golfers Sergio Garcia, Paul McGinley, Martin Kaymer and Shane Lowry, as well as One Direction’s Niall Horan, music star Ed Sheeran, billionaire J.P. McManus and actors Jimmy Nesbitt and Jamie Dornan.
According to multiple Irish outlets, the cost of the wedding is around $1.2 million, which included a special performance by Stevie Wonder and a spectacular fireworks display.
If you are not familiar with Stoll, allow us to introduce you. She is 30 years old and was born in New York, but lives in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The pair met at the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah. As the story goes, McIlroy overslept by accident and was close to missing his Sunday singles tee time. However, Stoll saved the day by waking him up and arranging a police escort to get him there on time.
If that isn’t true love, we don’t know what is.
Say hello to Mrs. Rory McIlroy.
