NBA Star Ray Allen Retires, Focuses On Golf

One of the NBA’s all-time great shooters (and golf-lover), Ray Allen, officially retired Tuesday. The 10-time all-star and 2-time NBA champ decided to hang up his Jordans leaving the league as the number one three-point shooter after making a total of 2,973. When you do the math, that’s a whopping 40% for his career. Oh, he also is an actor (he played Jesus Shuttlesworth in Spike Lee’s He Got Game), so he’s got that going for them, which is nice.

The silver lining? Allen will now be able to play as much golf as his talented heart desires. The UCONN graduate is an avid golfer and currently plays to a +0.1 at his home course, TPC River Highands, which hosts the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship.
