In this latest edition of why celebrities shouldn’t play golf in front of galleries, Australian snowboarder and Olympian, Torah Bright showed off her amateur skills by shanking one into the crowd. The 2010 halfpipe gold medalist was participating in a charity event in Sydney, Australia on Saturday when she stepped up to the tee and failed to close the clubface on the way down. The result was a hosel-rocket that b-lined straight for a poor cameraman who filmed the entire sequence, leaving a welt on his shin. Thankfully, the injury wasn’t more serious.
“I’m so sorry,” Bright said as she rushed over in embarrassment. If we had a nickel for every time we heard those words on a golf course.
