Golf has always been known as a thinking man’s game. Out on the course, it’s you, a club, a ball and your thoughts. There’s very little noise, unless you’re Pat Perez. The Phoenix native doesn’t fall into the category of your typical PGA Tour player with his long black hair and hard rock tendencies.
Currently rehabbing from a season-ending shoulder surgery, Perez has recently begun swinging the club again and it would appear that during his down time, he wrote a rock song, “Irons Aren’t Metal.” On a scale of 1 to Jake Trout and the Flounders, this is a solid 8, above the Golf Boys, but a little short of John Daly.
