Ray Allen Holes Out From 122 Yards For Birdie

Ray Allen is a future NBA Hall of Famer and the owner of one of the prettiest and most efficient jump shots the game has ever seen. His long-range game has also carried over onto the golf course where the career 40% three-point shooter hovers around a scratch handicap.

Playing in this week’s Diamond Resorts Invitational, a pro–am tournament on the PGA Tour Champions, played at Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons in Orlando, Florida, Allen faced a third shot from 122 yards in the left rough on the par-4 11th hole.

Allen took a smooth swing and watched as it took two hops and rolled into the hole for his second consecutive birdie. Playing alongside John Daly, Allen got some love from the two-time major champion.

Allen finished the day with a 77 — largely in part to his double-bogey, double-bogey start — but he played the final 16 holes in 2-over par. He enters Saturday in a tie for 19th place. Daly is in a tie for 15th place.
